Wow. This film is nuts.
It’s by no means brilliant (in fact it’s plain confusing at points – don’t watch it on a hangover for Christ’s sake), but it certainly blends the bright lights and fashion of London with a sinister ghost story in a unique way. Its nightmarish style complements this well.
I couldn’t tell if the leading female was having trouble trying to do a British accent or not – she honestly sounded as though she was trying to hold in a massive piss throughout the entire film.
The visuals, costume and set are so vibrant that it feels almost like a night out just watching this. And the underlying theme of mental health plays a good part, given what the character experiences.
This film is probably best enjoyed before an actual night out in Soho.
